Cookies
How FossPress uses cookies. Last updated 4 August 2026 (draft).
Draft. DRAFT, pending owner and legal review; not yet in force and not legal advice.
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are essential for a site to work; others follow you across sites for advertising. We use only the first kind.
When you sign in to the Author Portal we set a single first-party session cookie so you stay logged in between pages. It holds only an opaque session identifier, is never shared, and is cleared when you sign out or it expires. Because it is strictly necessary to provide the Portal you asked for, under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) it does not require a consent banner.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, social “like” pixels, or analytics cookies. Our public website measures visits with privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that do not identify you or track you across other sites.
You can view, block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking our session cookie will sign you out of the Author Portal and stop it working, but it will not affect browsing the public website.
We will update this page if our cookie use changes, and refresh the date above. Questions? [email protected].
