Children’s Privacy

How FossPress treats children’s data. Last updated 4 August 2026 (draft).

Who our services are for

The FossPress Author Portal and our go-to-market services are for adult authors and publishers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Signing in requires a Google account, and the Portal is not directed to, or intended for, anyone under 18.

Books for young readers, chosen by grown-ups

Many of the books on our engine, and our FossKids vertical, are written for young readers. Those pages showcase books to the parents, guardians, teachers and librarians who choose and buy them. They are product-discovery pages: we do not build profiles of children, run behavioural advertising to children, or track young readers. This follows the spirit of the UK Age Appropriate Design Code (the “Children’s Code”).

The free-chapter sample

Our free-chapter offer is marketed to adults, parents, educators and gift-buyers. It asks only for an email address so we can send you the free chapter. It is not aimed at children and should not be completed by a child.

If you think a child has given us data

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 18 has provided us personal data, contact [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
